I started my search for a company to replace our roof (shingles) and gutters. The service was pretty good and communication. I did get a lower bid from another local company but I liked that Prairie Exteriors was doing some good things locally with Culver Park, etc. With that, after the job was done, I emailed because it felt to my wife and I that everything was not complete and wanted to know if someone else was coming to do one last inspection so the job was done right. I was told at the time by a rep that it had been inspected and looked good. For a couple of weeks after, I looked at this little white object that was under a shingle but since they said they inspected it, I figured maybe it was supposed to be there. I finally contacted the company and they were responsive as usual and sent someone out to look at the roof. The worker told me he would remove the white object and he said there was work that wasn’t complete, a vent or something, which was very frustrating. There is part of me I wish I would have saved $2,000 with the other company because when you’re paying $20,000 for gutters and a roof, you want it done right and inspected properly. I felt like I was kind of given the runaround when I asked for the work to be looked at. Our instinct was right that the job wasn’t done, but you try to put your trust in the professionals to do it right. Of If I could give 3.5 stars I would.

I’m not complaining. I chose to go with Prairie Exteriors and made the best informed decision I could, so some of it is on me I suppose. I would recommend that people get many different quotes and go from there because it’s a lot of money.
